Despite the noticeable common downfall of the world IT market
in 2009 HTP resident-companies managed to increase the volume
of sales revenues from own-produced IT products by 54 per
cent in 2009 in comparison with 2008 (up to Br 401,4 billion),
as stated by Valery Tsepkalo, Director of Belarus Hi-Tech
Park Administration, during the press-conference on February
16, 2010.
As of January 1, 2010, 80 companies are registered as the
Park's residents, 4 business-projects are implemented in the
sphere of new and high technologies within HTP's legal framework.
In 2009, 22 new companies were registered as the Park's residents,
registration was denied to 1 legal body, two companies were
excluded from HTP residents.
By the origin of investments attracted to the sphere of new
and high technologies 40 HTP residents were set up by Belarusian
investors, 40 HTP residents were set up with foreign investors'
participation, including: 18 joint ventures and 22 enterprises
with 100% foreign investments. Among the companies registered
in 2009, 68 per cent were established in 2007-2009, 55 per
cent are legal bodies set up with foreign investors' participation.
In 2009 the volume of sales revenues from IT products by
HTP resident-companies amounted to Br 401.4 billion and in
comparison with 2008 grew 1.5 times.
In 2009 HTP resident-companies exported software totaling
to USD 110.1 million, at the same time import decreased by
46 per cent and equaled USD 0.7 million. The share of exports
in the total production volume of HTP amounted to 77 per cent.
In 2009 HTP resident-companies exported software 10.5 times
more than the whole Belarus IT industry in 2005.
HTP resident-companies managed to retain their positions
on the hi-tech markets of North America and Western Europe.
According to the exports results of 2009, 43 per cent of exports
account for the North America market, 28 for Western Europe,
24 for the CIS countries.
Customers of HTP resident-companies are situated in 50 countries
of the world. First contracts were concluded with companies
from Belgium, Spain, Luxemburg, Japan and Taiwan.
As of January 1, 2010, 7259 employees work in HTP.
In 2009, 633 new jobs were created here.
