IT education: how HTP residents help future specialists
For Hi-Tech Park residents, active cooperation with educational institutions is one of the important elements of creating a competitive environment: business and education often work in close conjunction, providing training for qualified specialists who meet the requirements of a rapidly changing market. This is not just a step towards new personnel; it is an investment in the future that is becoming the norm.
A vivid example of such cooperation was another meetup from Ifortex for students seeking to start a career in IT. The event took place at the Computer еngineering department of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and gathered more than 100 interested listeners. Such meetings are a link between the educational process and practical IT reality, which allows students to ask important questions and get answers from experienced practitioners.
The students discussed current trends in the industry and promising technologies, and also reflected on the importance of higher education in IT and the need to develop both hard and soft skills. A particularly interesting topic for students was the block about internships. The Ifortex team prepared a full-fledged roadmap with practical advice on starting a career in IT.
Eugene Lagutin, head of Ifortex, said: “There are many ways for students to get real experience in the Belarusian IT market, but the level of awareness about career opportunities is not always high. Telling young people about such things to maintain the level of professional training of Belarusian specialists is a manifestation of social responsibility.”
Ifortex plans to organize various educational events, hackathons and meetups for the student community together with other HTP residents.
