In order to improve public administration, enhance the competitiveness of Belarus’ economy and encourage the implementation of software developed by Belarusian companies in the domestic market, the Hi-Tech Park initiated a series of workshops for students of the Institute of Civil Service (the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus). Workshops are focused on the use of information technologies in government agencies and organizations of the Republic of Belarus.

On October 16, HTP business incubator hosted the first workshop for local government officials and heads of economic departments of regional, district and city executive committees. During the workshop, issues of e-government implementation were addressed.

On October 6, a workshop on developing effective e-services for business entities and citizens of Belarus was conducted in the National Center for Electronic Services. Valery Tsilind, Managing Director of the HTP company IOOO ERICPOL BREST, demonstrated capabilities of the company’s electronic services for government agencies and business entities and shared experience in developing e-government projects abroad.

On October 8, special workshops were held in the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. IBA IT Park presented modern solutions for information systems of government agencies. Active Technologies introduced a system for operational data collection and processing.

The workshops were attended by heads and specialists of structural units subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry and the State Border Committee and other government agencies and organizations responsible for implementing informatization programs.

Due to the joint efforts of the Hi-Tech Park and the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the workshops are included in the advanced training curriculum of the Academy on the use of information technologies in government agencies and organizations of Belarus.
