HTP Presented Solutions for The Tourist Industry

Software solutions in the field of international and domestic tourism elaborated in HTP were presented on June 10, 2009 during the workshop “New IT-technologies for the tourist industry in Belarus”.

The system of information technologies used in the tourist sphere consists of various elements, including: computer booking systems, systems of organizing teleconferences, information control systems and others. The speed of data communications, the efficient and fast connection between the partners are of paramount importance in the tourist business.

Ways of solving problems in the tourist sphere in Belarus with the help of modern IT-technologies were considered at the workshop. Practical solutions for tour operators and tourist companies were also presented.

The company “Generation_P Consulting”, HTP resident, presented its product – GP Travel Suit, which at present is used by many tourist agencies in Europe.
GP Travel Suit is an adaptable system of tourist business management and automation. The system consists of more than 250 adjustable modules, which can be used in various combinations (filling the system with tourist services, B2B and B2C sales, statistics, accounts and finance). This is one of the most functional and modern solutions, available on the CIS and EU tourist markets.

Universal Travel Engine (UTE) – the system of on-line booking was also presented at the workshop. The system makes it possible for the users to search tourist offers by various settings and in various data bases, check the availability of hotels, book tourist offers, etc. The search module works with ready tours, hotel offers, hot tours and air tickets.

Representatives and management of the leading Belarus and international tourist agencies (Kuomi Travel Ltd, TOP Tour, AlatanTour and others), representatives of the Republican administrative bodies (the National Tourist Agency, the Republican Union of Tourist Organizations) and educational institutions (the Institute of Tourism) took part in the workshop.
