During his working visit to Belarus the Prime minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan visited Hi-Tech Park to learn the ICT development experience. 

The Prime minister was interested in all HTP activities: the selection criteria of future HTP resident-companies, HTP business incubator, taxation preferences granted to the resident-companies as well as development of legal and regulatory framework for the ICT field. 

During the meeting the guests also learned about the cooperation projects between HTP and universities on implementation of the training programs for technical specialists with due account for the needs of the modern IT business. 

While discussing the rate of HTP growth and development Tigran Sargsyan noticed that considering the total Belarusian potential of 100,000 IT specialists, ”9,500 specialists employed in HTP is a very good figure“. 

The members of the delegation also visited the production offices of HTP resident-companies Epam Systems and System Technologies, where the directors Sergey Divin and Alexander Mukovozchik told about their experience as HTP residents. 

”It was a very useful visit – said the Prime minister of Armenia and promised that Armenia would maintain contacts with ICT Belarus and will share the information on the topic. 

Tigran Sargsyan emphasized that he would definitely hold a meeting on the HTP visit issues upon returning to Armenia. The head of the government added that not long ago he had been thinking over the design of one of the tech parks founded recently in Armenia and during the visit to Belarus HTP he found many answers to the questions. 

Valery Tsepkalo expressed HTP readiness to cooperate with Armenian specialists. ”If you are confident in your competitiveness, then it is only natural to share the experience, knowledge and know-how – he emphasized. – Of course we see certain pragmatic interest: different countries of CIS, Europe, and the whole world will learn about our Park and by that not only we attract the attention of high officials and other technoparks, but also that of our potential customers.

Bilateral cooperation between Belarus HTP and Armenia started on October 23, 2006, when HTP and Viasphere Technopark signed the agreement on cooperation in the high technologies field.
