HTP Presented Itself at InfoDev’s 4th Global Forum on Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship

During the infoDev’s 4th Global Forum on Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship which took place in Finland (Helsinki) May 30 – June 2, 2011 HTP presented its opportunities in the field of innovative IT projects.
It was not by chance that the Forum was held in Finland. As it is known, once this country made technological breakthrough. Today the head office of one of the major players in the global telecommunication market – Nokia Corporation – is situated here. And it was a Finnish software engineer Linus Torvalds that developed Linux, one of the most popular operation systems.
The main aim of the Global Forum was to discuss the innovation entrepreneurship and sustainable development strategies, to share the hands-on experience on implementing know-hows, and to continue the development of innovation approaches.
The 4th Global Forum on Innovation&Technology Entrepreneurship was organized by the World Bank together with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and the Finnish Foreign Trade Association Finpro).
800 specialists from 60 countries took part in the Forum, among them there were state officials, representatives of the leading venture funds and techno parks, international innovation experts.
Paavo Väyrynen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Mikko Kosonen, President of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Esko Aho, former Prime Minister of Finland (1991-1995), now Executive Vice-President, Nokia presented at the opening ceremony.
Belarus was presented at the Global Forum by the Director of HTP Administration. Valery Tsepkalo with his speech ”Modernization and Innovations. The Role of ITC“.
During the M-Labs Business Plan Brainstorming Workshop which was organized within the frames of the infoDev’s 4th Global Forum the director of Hi-Tech Park introduced the HTP resident-companies engaged in mobile software development projects.
Participation in this Global Forum was of great interest because currently HTP administration is involved in improving business incubation facilities for HTP start-up companies and is planning to create mobile technologies laboratory.
The Head of HTP Administration also discussed with the heads of the biggest technological universities of Finland - The University of Helsinki and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Helia), the possibility of engaging Finnish specialists in distant training of HTP Educational Center’s attendees and in creating joint educational programs.
