23 August 2012

On August 23rd 2012 a grand ceremony was held to burry a time capsule into foundations of R&D building of HTP resident-company IT Park being built by one of the leading centers of IBA Group.

The event took place at IBA Group building site on the territory of Hi-Tech Park (F.Skorinu and Kuprevicha Streets). Representatives of Minsk City Executive Committee Administration, Pervomaisky District, Hi-Tech Park, scientific and technological association “Infopark” and IBA Group management participated in the ceremony.

A complex of buildings for IBA Group has been built on the territory of 3.5 hectares as a part of the investment project “Comprehensive development of HTP territory”.

The construction cluster will consist of a modern office building with a capacity of 1000 working places that is actually two linked buildings of the same construction and technical characteristics, multiplayer open parking for 400 cars, residential building and sports and fitness centre.

It was designed by Estonian company AS “Ideab Project Eesti” that became a general constructor for the office building as well. Modern technology developed by German company “Thyseen Krupp” is used for construction. All the constructive elements are made at the plant in Germany, delivered to Belarus and assembled at the building site. This shortens the period of work execution and also gives a chance to control the quality at every stage of construction.

As soon as the construction is finished a complex of multistory buildings with the necessary infrastructure – state-of-the art offices, spacious parking lots, a cosy café and sports centre – will naturally fit into architectural complex of a would be Hi-Tech Park.

The complex of IBA buildings will become not just a landmark of “Belarusian Silicon Valley”, but also a comfortable place for IBA specialists to work, hold meetings and business talks with clients and partners.

Apart from IBA Group construction cluster, an HTP Administration building and shopping mall of 3, 000 square meters will be built on this territory later. In addition to these buildings Minsk City Executive Committee plans to build here 2 residential buildings for rent, a comprehensive school and kindergarten for children of those who work in HTP resident-companies. By the way, the street where the whole complex will be situated will be renamed to Programmers Street.

The construction of IBA complex is planned to be finished by the end of 2013. It’s symbolic that this year IBA Group will celebrate its 20 year anniversary.

Sergey Levteev, Head of IBA Group Supervisory Board:

”Construction of our own new office in our anniversary year, large investments into housing for our employees and social programs is a convincing mark of success, prosperity and stability of IBA. Systematically, in the course of 20 years, we have been committed to the development of our own infrastructure. Today our employees enjoy working conditions very close to those of specialists in leading global companies. I am talking not only about comfortable working places and conveniently planned buildings and adjacent territory, but also about reliability and security of modern telecommunication and engineering systems. We have buried a capsule with an electronic message that gives information on 20 years history of the company development into the foundation of a new building emphasizing close tights of present day IBA specialists that we are proud of and talented youth who will present our company and its interests with dignity on the international arena in future, realizing impressive projects and maintaining our reputation as a developer and provider of up-to-date IT-services. I believe today’s ceremony symbolizes the next stage in development of IBA and its good corporate traditions. I have no doubt that in our new home company specialists will successfully keep generating brilliant ideas and realizing most challenging plans.”

According to a general construction plan a would be Hi-Tech Park will embody the idea of hi-tech city residents of which will live, work and rest with comfort. The aim of the project is to create in our country favorable conditions for export-oriented programming industry to develop, as well as other export industries, based on contemporary technologies, and also for concentration of educational, R&D, HR, production, investment and financial potential of the whole Belarus.
