HTP and Microsoft Agreed to Support Startups and IT Education

Hi-Tech Park (HTP) Administration Director Valery Tsepkalo and Microsoft Multi-Country General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe Takuya Hirano discussed priority areas of cooperation in Minsk on Friday.

“Belarus with its Hi-Tech Park stands out from other countries of Eastern Europe, so we really wanted to come here to understand the concept: how the history of Park began and how it works now”, stated Takuya Hirano, explaining his interest in HTP.

During the visit Microsoft general manager got acquainted with modern Belarus IT industry, prospects of its development and the role HTP plays in this process. Takuya Hirano stressed that “Park should not stop promoting advanced technologies”.

The parties also agreed to implement a number of joint projects to support the development of startups and technical education in Belarus.
