About 150 Listeners at India-Belarus Learning Centre since September

The learning centre provides the opportunity for e-learning. The most active participants of trainings in the form of video and audio conferences are professors and students from Suhov State Technical University of Gomel and Kupala State University of Grodno.

Altogether in the period of March 2011-November 2012 there were about 30 trainings and seminars for educators from Belarusian universities. About 400 professors from 20 universities took part in them. Besides, more than 1500 students received training at affiliated centres at Brest, Gomel, Grodno and Vitebsk universities.

India-Belarus Digital Learning Centre in the area of ICT was established according to memorandum of understanding between the government of the Republic of Belarus and the government of the Republic of India, dated September 17, 2009. Grand opening ceremony took place in January 2012.

Within the framework of work of India-Belarus Digital Learning Centre in 2010 and 2012 14 Belarusian university professors received training in the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in India. The mission of Belarus-India Centre is to prepare highly-qualified teaching staff for IT sphere.
