HTP Visited by Distinguished Guests from Singapore

As a part of the official visit to the Republic of Belarus on April 26, 2013 Singapore Parliament delegation headed by the Parliament Speaker Ms Halimah Yakob visited the Hi-Tech Park for the first time. In the course of the meeting the Director of the Hi-Tech Park Administration Valery Tsepkalo introduced the story of the Hi-Tech Park establishment and development to the guests. Delegates were interested in Belarusian experience, IT industry pace of development and Belarusian model of IT cluster, as well.

The Hi-Tech Park business relationships with Singapore are developing. In March 2013 the Director of the Hi-Tech Park Valery Tsepkalo visited Singapore as a part of a delegation representing Belarusian business circles. Meetings and negotiations that happened during the visit resulted in the agreement on the software development for the IT system of a leading global bank center situated in Singapore.

“We can borrow Singapore’s experience in the spheres like construction, air traffic and its maintenance, implementation of infrastructure projects, systems of coordination with governmental bodies, including development of e-government and providing support for small and medium business. I believe we should further develop our cooperation”, - the Director of the Hi-Tech Park Administration Valery Tsepkalo summarized.
