HTP Shares its Experience in Creating IT-Cluster with Georgian Colleagues

Irakli Kashibadze, the Head of the ICT and Innovation Development Department, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, visited the Hi-Tech Park on September 24, 2013.The guest from Georgia noted that the HTP is a brand that is now widely known far outside Belarus due to its impressive achievements.

Georgia plans to create an export-oriented IT-industry with 40,000 professionals by 2020. The aim of the visit, therefore, was to study the HTP experience in order to leverage it while implementing these ambitious plans in Georgia.

Mr. Kashibadze was particularly interested in the experience of creating the IT-cluster, the model of interaction of the HTP resident-companies with higher education institutions, the HTP infrastructure development and measures of state support for start-up IT-companies in.

After the meetings in HTP Administration Mr. Kashibadze visited the HTP company EPAM Systems, where he learned about its activities as a resident of the Hi-Tech Park.
