The Belarusian IT company Service Desk has successfully passed the certification audit conducted by the British Standards Institution (BSI), thus becoming in January the first company in Belarus to receive the Certificate of Registration for conformance to ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 standards.

For today, at most 500 companies worldwide have demonstrated excellence in IT service management and maintain the ISO/IEC 20000 Certification; about 100 companies are being audited. ISO/IEC 20000 is the international IT standard for organizations to demonstrate best practices in IT service management.

Oleg Sosnovsky, Director of Service Desk: "ISO/IEC 20000 is the basis for the company to build relationships with our customers in compliance with the worlds best practices. The success in achieving the ISO/IEC 20000 Certification has become possible thanks to the hard work of all our employees. I would also like to emphasize the importance of the support we receive from Sberbank of Russia and BPS-Sberbank".

ISO/IEC 20000 is based on BS 15000 and largely focused on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL ®). ISO 20000 is a set of criteria to measure and verify the success of an organization in application of the best practices defined by the ITIL. The standard defines the requirements for IT service management, including planning, development, implementation, maintaining, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
