On June 25, 2014 the Hi-Tech Park presented the Golden Byte awards ceremony honoring achievements of the best Belarusian IT companies in 2013.



Nominees and winners were determined on the basis of the companies’ performance results for 2013.

This year, Belarusian market leaders in software and IT solutions development were named in seven categories.

Valery Tsepkalo, Director of the HTP administration, congratulated the HTP resident-companies on their success and noted that a mature software development industry has shaped in Belarus for the last 8 years: "This year we have got important results. We hold a prominent place in the economy of the Republic of Belarus; we are ahead of the United States in computer services export per person. Back in 2012 we entered a list of top 30 countries for program development. In 2013 we were among the top 20 countries. This year, I suppose, we will appear among the 12 leading countries. Gradually, we have become one of the leaders in the IT field. We have products which make Belarus world-famous, thus building up a country’s reputation as a strong player in the field of software development. We are happy that these positive trends continue, our companies keep on growing, people come to the Park and choose professions in the IT field."

In addition, there were special awards for the HTP resident-companies that are actively involved in projects to promote and enhance the prestige of technical education, includingEPAM Systems, Godel Technologies Europe, SaM Solutions, IBA IT Park, Playtika Bel, iProved Software, Sampad, FordeConsulting, Brimit, System Technologies, CIB software, ARTOX lab, AlpariGroup.





The VoIP application Viber was announced the Best Product of the Year.
Designed by Viber Media, Viber was originally launched on iPhone on December 2, 2010. Today, there are over 370 million users in 193 countries, with more than 100 million devices being connected to the service simultaneously. The application is available in 28 languages, including Arabic, Chinese and Hindi.



EXP(Capital) received the Discovery of the Year award.



The company develops software for financial markets. Its products are presented in the world’s largest financial centers in New York, London, Moscow and Chicago, among others. Every fourth engineer in the company has an academic degree.
