The Information Access Center was established by the HTP administration together with the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea. Being a leader in the ICT sphere, the Republic of Korea has opened such centers in many countries since 2002.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea Choi Yanghee, members of the official delegation of the Republic of Korea and representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, the Department of Informatization and the Belarusian branch of the Belarus-Korea Education, Science and Technology Cooperation Center.

Choi Yanghee, Minister of Science, ICT and long-term planning of the Republic of Korea, emphasized: ”Over the last 30 years, the Korean government has accumulated a considerable experience in the field of informatization. If we combine our know-hows in this field, especially in collaboration with your programmers, we will definitely create the best projects.“

The Information Access Center is housed in the HTP business incubator. It is a multi-functional facility with a Korean culture showroom, an internet lounge, an ICT training lab and a conference-hall. In addition, a co-working center will operate in the HTP business incubator, enabling students to work on their projects, both individually and as a team.

Yury Sudarev, Head of the Information Access Center, noted: ”The Information Access Center is a part of the Hi-Tech Park’s business incubator. It will create the necessary conditions for our talented and gifted young people to successfully implement their innovative start-up projects.“

The Center will focus on organizing educational activities in the field of information technology for the public, providing training for IT startuppers and conducting conferences, seminars and presentations dedicated to the use of information technology in various fields – education, science, economics, public administration, etc.
