September 22, 2005, becаme a turning point in the history of modern Belarus. That was when Hi-Tech Park was founded in accordance with the Decree No. 12 of the President of the Republic of Belarus. It was the initiative that laid the foundation for the formation of a new industry that today holds leading positions in the national economy.

That day marked the beginning of a journey that has transformed the idea into a robust IT sector, grown from scratch in an independent country. Twenty years later, we can confidently call September 22 the birthday of the Belarusian digital industry.

Today, Hi-Tech Park is the symbol of progress and innovation, the navigation beacon in the ocean of technology. Its contribution to the country's economic growth creates a solid foundation for Belarus as one of the world's leading centers for the development of advanced solutions.

From the very starting point Hi-Tech Park has consistently demonstrated strong dynamic development. Today, the Park unites 1,050 high-tech companies, employing about 60,000 talented specialists, both working as outsourcers and focusing on their own software products.

The HTP residents account for one fifth of the export of services of Belarus – an annual average of $2.5 billion over the past five years, and contribute about 3% of the GDP.

As a living organism, the HTP forges ahead. In 2017, the President launched the HTP 2.0 era – a new milestone in the progressive development of IT in Belarus.

This revolutionary document has to a great extent determined the vector of the Park's future development, providing residents with unique legal and tax conditions. More than 40 types of activities have become available: from AI, fintech and banking software to laser technologies and optics.

The national IT cluster is also focused on the domestic market. A large number of residents’ own ready-made solutions have already been implemented in Belarus, making our everyday life more convenient and comfortable. Last year alone, the HTP residents have marketed their IT products and services in Belarus worth approximately 2 billion Belarusian rubles.

And yet, these figures are the result of the outstanding effort of proactive, courageous people with an insatiable drive for creating new, breakthrough knowledge. Over the years, the HTP has become a true talent factory. Numerous successful IT startups and developments, originated in its heart, are the evidence of that. Their solutions are used in the domestic market and successfully compete internationally.

Hi-Tech Park is a symbol of what Belarus is capable of when talent, faith, and aspiration for the future come together. Twenty years ago we started writing the code for a new era and today it works, evolves and inspires.

The HTP is the pride of Belarus, our shared success and the proof that patriotism can be digital, and progress can be a national idea.

Thank you to everyone who has become a part of this story, a story that is to be continued...
