How to develop startup movement in universities discussed at Hi-Tech Park
The Hi-Tech Park Business Incubator became a platform for the meeting of universities workers responsible for the development of startup movement.
From August 27 to 29, Hi-Tech Park hosts a republican workshop “University as a platform for the development of innovative entrepreneurship”.
Partner universities where the concept will be realized by building a system of primary selection of talented young people predisposed to innovative entrepreneurship were identified earlier. Agreements on interaction and cooperation were signed between the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of Hi-Tech Park and 12 higher education institutions of the country.
The program was rich: from creating reports on the accelerator program of initial stage projects and organizing commercial events with companies till planning and providing media support of startup movement in universities.
Over the three-day course, employees of Startup Centers of Hi-Tech Park and BSU, graduates of accelerator programs, funders and heads of departments of the youth entrepreneurial community StartUp Space shared their experience, discussed the principles of work in universities and generated new hypotheses.
Representatives of business angels, the Russian-Belarusian Venture Capital Fund and the Industrial Park “Great Stone” took part in the discussion on evaluating startup projects at the initial stages. And with the management of the residents “Vadarod”, “Game Stream” and “Factory of Innovations and Solutions” and the company “Morozproduct” discussed the interaction between the corporate sector and universities. At the panel discussion with the specialized media PROBUSINESS.IO they told how publications help working businesses and startups to look for investments, and investors – to easily find suitable projects.
During the event, an agreement on interaction and cooperation was signed between the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of Hi-Tech Park and the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The document provides for the implementation of joint activities aimed at supporting and developing innovative entrepreneurship in the university environment.
