Belarusian Team Ranked #1 at Google Hash Code 2016

Roman Udovichenko and Sergei Zhgirovski (YMTeam), both working at the HTP resident-company YandexBel, were ranked #1 at Google Hash Code 2016!

YMTeam scored 1,017,218. Ababahalamaha, a team from Russia, finished in second place by scoring 991,562; Die Bergbokbende from South Africa came third with 964,632 score.

This is not the first victory in a competitive programming contest for Roman and Sergei. The programmers also participated in ACM ICPC and Google Code Jam.

Google Hash Code 2016 is a team-based programming competition for students and professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa organized by Google.

The Online Qualification Round was held on February 11 and attracted over 17,000 participants. Teams tried to solve a real-life challenge using tools of their choice, with special Hash Code Hubs being organized for their convenience. One of the hubs was located in the HTP business incubator. The Final Round was held on March 19 at Google Paris.
