Delegation of Japan visited HTP

On July 19, a delegation of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan headed by Sata Genichiro, Head of Japan-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Association, visited HTP to learn about Belarus' experience in developing the IT industry, training IT professionals, and supporting innovative entrepreneurs.

Valery Tsepkalo revealed the history and development plans of the Hi-Tech Park, achievements and capabilities of HTP resident-companies, and answered questions. The guests also explored the potential of Belarus HTP in supporting the startup community, while walking around the HTP business incubator.

On July 20, HTP welcomed Mori Masako (Miyoshi Masako), member of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan, Deputy to the Head of the House of Councillors Japan-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Association.

During the visit, the HTP resident-company BelHard Development presented its automated warning system for earthquakes and tsunamis. The project is of particular interest to Japan, providing short-term forecasts of earthquakes and tsunamis in a given area, as well as forecasts of floods and landslides caused by high seismic activity (for more details, please follow the link).

Ms. Mori Masako expressed appreciation to the HTP resident-company Game Stream for inviting Japanese children from areas affected by Fukushima Nuclear Accident to receive healthcare services in Belarus.
