Juno, a ride-sharing startup with the development center based in Minsk (the HTP resident-company Juno Lab), managed to become the fastest-growing challenger to Uber in New York – last week its 1 millionth ride was logged since its invitation-only launch in early May.

Juno develops amazingly fast: the startup started cooperating with New York taxi drivers in December 2015. Two months later –in February 2016, a beta testing for drivers was launched but passengers got a chance to use the service only in May by getting an invite. Last week, Juno became available to all. To become a Juno passenger in New Your, you need to download the application on App Store or Google Play.

In his interview to New York Post, Juno co-founder Talmon Marco said that about 13,000 drivers signed with Juno. The company books rides at a clip of 100,000 a week. As New York Post marks, it is impressive for an app that has been live for just 3¹/₂ months.

For reference:

Juno Lab was established on May 6, 2015 and registered as the HTP resident on June 25, 2015. The startup company was founded by Igor Magazinik and Talmon Marco who also founded Viber, a messaging app with over 750 million users in 193 countries developed in HTP.
