Starting New Academic Year with Hi-Tech Park

8 September 2016

HTP resident companies contributed to a truly joyful beginning of the new academic year in a number of regional Belarusian schools by equipping classrooms with computers.

New computer classrooms were opened in Kamai and Voropaevo secondary schools of the Pastavy District of the Vitebsk Region in August. The fully equipped modern classrooms were presented to the schools by IBA Group.

Victor Zhuk, Head of the Voropaevo Secondary School, expressed appreciation to IBA Group: "There is no future without information technology; the quality of education depends on students' and teachers' ability to use it and knowledge of how to do it efficiently. Now we have modern computers and comfortable furniture in our school – everything necessary for the students to develop in IT and show good performance."

New computer classes were equipped in Lida schools No.4 and No.17 with the support of the HTP resident-companies Skywind Tech BY and CTXM Media.

"We started cooperation with the Hi-Tech Park long ago. I am grateful to the HTP resident-companies for their support. Your gifts are a striking manifestation of your interest to the educational process. Lida secondary schools No.17 and No.4 were chosen not by chance, they participate in the educational project Programming is the New Literacy. I am sure that with such technical facilities our teachers and students will demonstrate excellent results at contests and olympiads in information technology," noted Alexander Kadlubai, Head of the Education, Sports and Tourism Department at the Lida District Executive Committee.

Skywind Tech BY and CTXM Media also presented computers to the IT academy for kids "Compass" which was opened in Orsha with the support of HTP resident-companies in April.

Andrei Zagursky, Head of the Education, Sports and Tourism Department at the Orsha District Executive Committee is convinced that the Compass IT academy will become a great platform for teachers and students in studying and using today's information technologies.

EPAM Systems presented 20 computers to Baranovichi Secondary School No.12.

Intelligent Systems helped Glubokoe District Gymnasium to upgrade their computer classroom. "The equipment we received will enable us to improve the quality of the educational process, explained Lidia Romanchuk, an Informatics teacher and participant of the Programming is the New Literacy project."Now our informatics classroom is properly equipped for holding classes, electives and computer science clubs."

We thank the HTP resident-companies for their contribution to the development of IT education in Belarus.
