24 October 2016

The HTP business incubator hosted a seminar addressing issues of entering into agreements on computer programs, and allocation of rights in software development. The seminar was organized by HTP together with Ernst & Young (EY).

EY experts in international property met with managers, lawyers and other professionals of HTP residents companies and discussed the following aspects of software copyright:

·        copyright for computer programs;

·        contractual relationship with an author (a developer who is a natural person);

·         contractual relationship with development companies (legal entities).

"The topics of the seminar aroused interest of the audience, especially copyright protection of works for hire. The participants described challenges they faced and received practical advice from EY experts. I am delighted that the seminar has appeared to be useful to IT professionals," commented Vasily Babariko, Tax and Legal Services Manager at EY.
