SEF.BY2Students-2016 in HTP

6 December 2016

On December 3, the HTP business incubator hosted SEF.BY2Students-2016. This year, the software engineering forum for students was held for the sixth time.

Over 300 young people attended the forum to learn about IT careers and meet with successful IT professionals.

Future technologies, peculiarities of server software development, test automation were discussed during the forum. Experts disclosed where to learn everything necessary and how to find a great job in IT.

Director of the HTP Educational Center Vadim Zelenkov shared his experience and explained who can really gain high wages, what to ask yourself before changing a job, what IT career to choose to be in demand in the future.

Vadim answered all students' questions: "The main advice is that you should not expect rapid results when entering the IT industry. Many people believe that express training make them proficient. This is like a three-month training for surgeons. Sounds crazy, isn't it? You should continue studying to be on the cutting edge."

Pavel Sirotkin, Java Developer at ITS Partner, described each stage of the software development lifecycle (language choice, coding, application deployment, testing, product release and support). He also provided a number of interesting cases so that the students could see a project from the point of view of both clients and developers.

Alexander Krupsky, Lead Software Engineer at EPAM, spoke about ECM and its components, and clarified what specialists can find it useful.

We believe that all the presentations and workshops as well as expert advice will help the students make right choices and become successful.

The forum was organized by ITS Partner, EPAM, Game Stream, A1QA, Educational Center of the Hi-Tech Park, Step Academy, Infopark Association.
