SmartTaler 2016 Held in HTP

On December 23, the HTP business incubator hosted SmartTaler 2016, a conference dedicated to today's IT solutions for finance and banking.

The conference program included over 20 reports in two categories – fintech for business and fintech for people covering technology in finance, electronic money regulation, crowdfunding technologies, and fintech startups. Speakers addressed the issues current and future use of cryptocurrency in Belarus, Internet credit card fraud, financial simulators, etc. and explained how to increase sales using financial instruments.

Among SmartTaler 2016 speakers, there were Alexander Sotnikov, Head of the Payment System & Digital Technologies Directorate at the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus; Vadim Iosub, Financial Analyst at Alpari; Vyacheslav Senin, Director at Assist Belarus, a multibank electronic payment system; Sergei Shevkunov, Head of Digital Client Technologies Department at Belgazprombank; Julia Panova, MTS Money Project Manager; Kirill Laptev, Head of Communications, Media & Technology Sector Group in Belarus at Sorainen.

Participants of the conference also had the opportunity to see Belarusian fintech developments, including two projects by startups from the HTP business incubator.

Oleg Kapustin, Business Development Director at iDiscount, presented the cloud service iDiscount – a business tool which allows creating electronic discount cards, keeping your card records, identifying a buyer in shops, as well as offers a new communication channel with clients (coupons, push notifications, etc.). In 2016 iDiscount has become a winner in the Skywind.Ventures hackathon in the category "Recommended for Investment."

Evgeny Palchevsky, CEO at Metric Development, focused on the future of Internet, mobile and offline payments, and presented his project Tap2Pay.me – a next generation payment solution for e-commerce. Tap2Pay.me enables users to make payments with just two clicks, get invoices and pay via mobile messengers, and make payments using a QR code. Tap2Pay.me can operate on European and American markets. The product was named a finalist of the FinTech marathon during Bank-IT 2016, and became the winner of Belbiz Battle during the World Entrepreneurship Week.

SmartTaler 2016 was organized by the Hi-Tech Park and kv.by.
