#IT_link Award Ceremony Held in HTP

On May 26 2017, the Hi-Tech Park hosted the award ceremony for the #IT_link winners welcoming students and their parents and grandparents, siblings, friends and classmates!

428 school students participated in #IT_link this year. We received 247 drawings depicting the World of IT Careers, 87 video projects presenting the IT Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, and 94 projects about Careers in IT.

Tatiana Prolisko, Head of the Centre of Educational Practice Innovative Development at the Minsk Region Institute for Education Development, opened the award ceremony:

"I am happy to be here. We conduct #IT_linkfor the third time, and each time it astonishes us with the number of talented students. The participants of the contest learn how to solve diverse tasks and get new opportunities for self-realization and creativity. I congratulate all of you! I wish you and your parents patience and success!





The winners in the IT Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow category – 3-6 graders demonstrated their videos. According toIlya Polyak, I Degree Diploma winner with the project "IT Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" Episode 1 "Development of Calculation", the most difficult part was to communicate the idea he came up to at a math class to the audience. With the scenario prepared, Ilya started creating the video. Another winner in this categoryPolina Bogushexplained that she drew and then animated all the drawings in her video, and even demonstrated them to other awardees.

The winners in the Career in IT category have already decided on their university majors. They presented their projects on the most demanded professions in the sphere of information technology.

Yana Konovalova received a diploma for creative idea for her Memory Book of the Vetka District. She is going to enter a medical university but is convinced that knowledge of information technology is necessary for a professional and qualified doctor.

The projects of all the winners are available in our career guidance group in VKontakte.

The winners received smartphones, tablets, laptops, video cameras, and 3D pens from HTP resident-companies sponsoring the contest.

After the ceremony, high school students visited the HTP resident company EPAMwhere they could see the work of real programmers and ask questions.

Other students participated in a quest and a class in Scratchorganizedby experienced trainers of the HTP Educational Center.

Parents and teachers willingly helped the children complete tasks, solve problems and create projects inScratch.
