Hi-Tech Park is to Present its Initiative for ”Digital Immigrants“ and ”Digital Natives“

21 January 2011

The paradox of the modern education is that ”digital natives“ are often taught by ”digital immigrants“ at schools and universities. The students have the feeling that teachers are foreigners who speak thickly and with a strong accent.

A unique educational project for the teachers of technical universities and secondary schools was launched in the Republic of Belarus in January, 2011.

The project was initiated by EPAM Systems, the HTP resident company, VEU Sourcing - distributor of professional training courses, and SkillSoft - the European market leader in e-Learning. Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and Minsk City Institute of Education Development became participants of the pilot project.

A press conference on launching of this project will be held at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Minsk on January 24th, 2011.

The following speakers will take part in the event:

Alexander Martinkevich, Deputy Director of HTP Administration;
John Downie, Channel Account Manager SkillSoft EMEA;
Denis Petelin, Director of EPAM Systems Training Programs;
