5th Anniversary Celebrated by Belarus Hi-Tech Park on June 1st, 2011

The first Hi-Tech Park residents were registered on June 1, 2006. 

They were:
EPAM Systems
Sakrament IT
System Technologies
ScienceSoft

As of June 1st, 2011, 94 software developing companies are registered in the Hi-Tech Park. They develop software for customers from 50 countries. Export accounts for 80% the HTP resident-companies production. 45% of software exports accounts for by the countries of North America, 30% – by Western Europe, 20% – by CIS countries.

Within the period 2006-2010 HTP export made up $ 452,3 mln. 

Valery Tsepkalo, Director of the Hi-Tech Park Administration:
”IT-industry is there in Belarus, a solid association of software developing companies has been founded. The Hi-Tech Park is a national project. We are optimistic about the future, and I am sure that IT-industry will be further successfully developing in our country. Some people call it knowledge-based economy – that is what we are building now in our country“.

When we set up the Park 5 years ago, we designed it first of all, for the young people. Today 70 % of the Park’s employees are young people up to 35 years old. More than 30 % of the Park’s employees are women. 

Moreover HTP resident-companies each year become winners of the prestigious IT-competitions such as European IT Excellence Awards, Top 100 Outsourcing Companies of the World, Software 500. 

This year the HTP resident-company GameStream was registered in the Guinness World Records Book for its game World of Tanks and for the record number of gamers on one server simultaneously.

The resident-company EPAM Systems is the leader in IT-services outsourcing in the Central and Eastern Europe.

This allows to raise the competitiveness and promote the services of the resident-companies abroad, and also contributes to the development of the global economy through innovations, business initiative and transfer of knowledge and technologies.

Among the major customers of HTP are the world-known corporations such as Peugeot, Mitsubishi, British Petroleum, Gazprom, Reuters, British Telecom, Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Bosch, Expedia, Citibank, MTV, London Stock Exchange, World Bank, etc.
