HTP Introduced to Russian Mass Media

A delegation of Russian journalists visited Belarus Hi-Tech Park on October 15, the visit being a part of the annual press tour of Russian regional mass media representatives to Belarus.

The program of the visit consisted of a meeting with HTP Administration management and tours to resident-companies EPAM Systems and ST Group.

Russian journalists asked HTP Administration Director Valery Tsepkalo and Deputy Director Alexander Martinkevich various questions on public-private partnership in IT, problems of technical education, role of HTP in the development of IT in Belarus, development of Park territory, products and services of HTP residents, competition in the global market and many others. Being taken on tours to the offices of EPAM Systems and ST Group representatives of Russian media were able to see with their own eyes what it means to work in a modern hi-tech company and ask programmers why Belarus IT sphere is appealing for young people.

The visit gave Russian guests an idea about IT sphere in Belarus.

According to the Belarusian National Press Center, there are about 90 journalists from 80 Russian mass media of all federal districts of Russia participating in this 10th annual tour (October 13-16). Total circulation of represented publications is about 3 million copies; potential radio and TV audience, taking into consideration a number of federal mass media, equals to over than 130 million people.
