At the beginning of June the MittelstandsWiki editors for the first time awarded SaaS and Cloud applications targeting users in small and medium enterprises at the IT Profits exhibition in Berlin. A customer friendly solution suitable especially for day-to-day use was thoroughly selected. Altogether 22 manufacturers competed for the prize award of the editorial jury. The winner was the Haufe-Lexware‘s portal LexLive, which is the result of development cooperation between Haufe-Lexware and SaM Solutions. The two companies have been working together for over five years on the development of commercial software solutions for Haufe-Lexware. SaM Solutions supports the software house in Freiburg as a nearshore development partner, and particularly from the end of 2007 as a partner in LexLive software solution development. Haufe-Lexware contributed architects and product managers to the development team, while the entire development and implementation was done at the SaM Solutions’ development center in Minsk, Belarus. SaM Solutions is one of the leading software outsourcing companies in Eastern Europe based in Gilching near Munich.
LexLive Overview

LexLive is a web application of Haufe-Lexware, which enables small and mid-size businesses, individual entrepreneurs and freelancers to issue invoices and to manage their entire accounting operations via Internet. The installation on a PC is not needed. The complete functionality of the program is available via Internet at www.lexlive.de. The program based on ASP.NET is easy to use even without specialized accounting knowledge. The implementation of the highly interactive user interface was one of the biggest technical challenges, since the web application had to be functionally and visually as capable as a desktop application. This was one of the requirements precisely fulfilled by the SaM Solutions’ development team.
