Karim Masimov: “There is a lot to learn in Belarus”

“I think that the level of high technologies development in Belarus is quite high. There is a lot to be learned from you, I think that exchange of experience will do good both to the citizens of Belarus and the citizens of Kazakhstan”, - thus Mr. Karim Masimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, appreciated the level of information technologies development in Belarus after the visit to Belarus Hi-Tech Park on May 19, 2010.

The Kazakh delegation comprised Vladimir Bozhko, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Albert Rau, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurtai Abykayev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kairat Kelimbetov, Chairman of Nation Welfare Fund “Samruk Kazyna”, Kuanyshbek Esekeev, Head of KazakhTelecom.

Alexander Martinkevich, Deputy Director of HTP Administration, presented the results of activities and plans for future development of Hi-Tech Park, including HTP site development. HTP resident-companies NTLab SYSTEMS, Synesis and Sakrament IT presented to the guests their software solutions for the Kazakh market.

During the visit to Hi-Tech Park the Kazakh delegation also familiarized themselves with the projects accomplished in the framework of the State Programme E-Belarus. The system of e-documents workflow in state bodies, the information system “Single Window”, the nationwide automated information system and other projects were presented to them.

“We have seen many of modern Belarusian developments in the area of e-government and e-services in whole. There is a lot to learn in Belarus for both our state bodies responsible for e-government development, and IT-companies”.

For reference:
The Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the largest customers of HTP in the region of CIS countries. Thus, the export of software and IT-services to this country in 2009 amounted to 1,9 million USD.

HTP resident-company EPAM Systems took part in the development of integrated tax information system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.HTP resident-company took part in the development and implementation of automated bank systems in the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Halyk Bank. The project was developed together with the Kazakh partner, company “Corporate Business Systems Project”.
