HTP Pace of Development Sparked Interest Among Tatarstan Representatives

On April 9 delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the Deputy Prime-Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov visited the Hi-Tech Park as part of an official visit to Belarus. During the meeting the Director of the Hi-Tech Park Administration Valery Tsepkalo and Ravil Zaripov exchanged information on the current situation in IT sphere in both countries, discussed possible ways to stimulate IT sphere and traced plans for further cooperation. 

Valery Tsepkalo made a presentation on the HTP establishment and fast development. Belarusian experience and IT industry progress aroused interest among Tatarstan representatives. In the past year only profit from sales of software and services increased by 48%. 
In its turn, Tatarstan party shared information on the implementation of the Innopolis project. According to the project, an innovative satellite-city of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, will be built. Among the first units of Innopolis will be the main tech park and the first in Russia IT University that will prepare specialists with the consultative help of Karnegi Mellon University (scientists of the university undertook a commitment to prepare a special curriculum for the students of this IT university). 

It was decided to discuss further Belarus-Tatarstan cooperation in Kazan during a return visit of the HTP representatives.
