International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is an annual competition for pupils from different countries in theoretical knowledge of physics and the ability to apply its methods in practice. The first competition was held in Warsaw in 1967. In 1984 France was disqualified for 20 years for the late rejection to host the Olympiad.
