IT University: a Call of the Times

3 December 2013

A university will be created at the Hi-Tech Park, aiming to become one of the leading educational institutions in the field of information technology in Europe.

For 7 years of its existence, the HTP has become a well-known brand in the field of information technology not only in the CIS and Europe, but also worldwide.

Valery Tsepkalo, Director of the HTP Administration, said that "the purpose of creating the university is to provide innovative scientific and personnel support from the Hi-Tech Park through the creation of a system of continuing professional education, integration of education, science, and industry."

Besides the HTP Administration, among the founders of the university there will be leading HTP residents and large global companies. This will allow to develop programs aimed at building skills and competencies necessary for a career in the IT industry.

A land plot near the Hi-Tech Park is being actively searched for. The university will be laid out in the form of a campus, which means that the academic buildings, research laboratories, libraries, cafes, apartments for foreign scientific and pedagogical personnel, and dormitories will be located in close proximity to each other.
