World of Tanks Honored with D.I.C.E. Online Game of the Year Award!

7 February 2014

World of Tanks was chosen as Online Game of the Year at the 2014 D.I.C.E. Awards. The US Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) named a few dozen of the most successful games of the past year in 24 different categories to determine the best among them. The summit was held from 4 to 6 February 2014 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The MMO project World of Tanks developed by the Belarusian company Game Stream added to its collection of prestigious awards. It is worth noting, that the Summit s 17th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards are a unique recognition in the game industry, as the votes come from the professional game developers that are AIAS members.

World of Tanks surpassed such serious competitors as Battlefield 4 (Electronic Arts Inc); Borderlands 2 (2K Games); Diablo III (Blizzard Entertainment), and The Last of Us (Sony Computer Entertainment America).

Victor Novochadov, Game Stream Director: «...the objective success is when the Belarusian software has not only conquered almost all regions of the world, received all the major prizes and awards (from both multiple users and industry experts), and continues to leave far behind well-known worlds giants (such as Sony and Blizzard), but when everyone is just already used to it, treats victories matter-of-factly, and undoubtedly recognizes that the product created by Belarusian developers is the best in the world, anytime and anywhere – out of competition and beyond comparison ...
