Japanese Businessmen Visited HTP

A delegation from Japan visited the Hi-Tech Park on September 26. 64 representatives of major Japanese corporations operating in the field of information technology, business consulting, trade, transport, pharmaceutics, construction, hospitality and other industries learnt the potential of Belarusian IT companies.
A well-known Japanese business analyst Kenichi Ohmae, Ph.D., President of Business Breakthrough Inc., coordinated the visit of the Japanese delegation.

Valery Tsepkalo, Director of the HTP administration, presented the history, principles, achievements and development prospects of the Hi-Tech Park.

The HTP resident-companies Viber Media, EPAM Systems, Sam Solutions, Numerical Methods, Gersis Software and ITS Partner spoke about their activities. Then the parties shared their views on the prospects of cooperation.

Victor Novochadov, Director of Game Stream, invited the Japanese guests to visit a company’s new office – the World of Tanks Factory, where they saw the process of creating the world-famous game also very popular in Japan.

Kenichi Ohmae is a Japanese expert in the field of strategic management. He was voted by The Economist as “one of the world’s top five management gurus” in 1994. Early in his career, Kenichi Ohmae worked as a senior engineer at Hitachi; then he was a partner at the McKinsey & Company’s Japanese office for twenty-five years. He is the author of over 100 books on management, business and finance. He advises the world’s leading companies on strategic development issues.
