HTP Resident-Companies Named Among the Best Employers in Belarus

The HTP resident-companies Itransition and Game Stream were named winners at the 2014 HR Brand Belarus Awards.

Itransitionwon in the category Republic for its project Itransition Opener 2014, an outdoor intellectual IT contest for talented youth. This year, about 3,000 future programmers took part in the event. Winners and other promising contestants are given the opportunity to get a free training in the company and, in case of success, are offered a job.

"For us, the annual contest Itransition Opener continues the company’s traditions. Itransition always tries to focus on talents, regardless of age or expertise. One of our major tasks is to see the potential, educate and give a start in life to young professionals."

A project implemented byGame Stream, a Minsk development center of Wargaming, was announced the winner in the category World. Over 1.5 years, the project has enabled the company to attract 1,147 employees to the Minsk office, more than 60% of them being unique IT specialists. 154 experts from the CIS countries were recruited to work in Belarus.

The number of employees exceeding 2,000, 10% of the company’s staff is highly qualified specialists from abroad (from the USA, Germany, France and other countries). Together with the Hi-Tech Park, we managed not only to get back many Belarusian programmers who left abroad in the past years, but also to create the conditions that successfully attract, without exaggeration, the world’s IT elite. The 2014 HR Brand Belarus Award recognizes the most successful work on the reputation of the company as an employer. The award ceremony was organized in our country for the first time and will be held annually. 34 projects by 28 companies competed in 4 categories: Republic, Region, World and Capital. The winners were determined based on the following criteria: relevance (for the company and for the market), methods of implementation and efficiency (for business and for the target audience). Experts from various professional fields, including HR, marketing, consulting and media, from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine were among the judges.
