Hi-Tech Park Expands its Activities in Regions of Belarus

On July 22, 2015, the Hi-Tech Park resident-company IBA Gomel Park, one of the Belarusian development centers of IBA Group, opened a new office in Gomel. The company is planning to expand its activities in the Gomel region and increase the volume of outsourcing services.

The new office is not just comfortable workplaces equipped with the latest technology but also modern and well-equipped meeting and recreation rooms, a training center, sports and fitness facilities.

The opening of the new office enables IBA Gomel Park to create more than 200 new jobs which is sure to have a positive impact on business development of IBA Group both in the Gomel region and in the country.

       The opening ceremony was attended by HTP Director Valery Tsepkalo, Chairman of the Board of Directors at IBA Group Sergei Levteev, IBA Gomel Park Director Igor Khobnya and Acting Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Pavel Pavlov. Representatives of the Gomel Region authorities, IBA Gomel Park customers, Gomel university teachers, and IBA Gomel Park experts were among the honored guests.

Valery Tsepkalo congratulated employees of the Gomel development center with the opening of the new office: "Exports of the Hi-Tech Park is growing by 40-50 percent annually. Last year, it amounted to over $600 million, and I believe it will reach $800 million this year which will allow us to compare the Hi-Tech Park with the leading automobile companies in the Republic of Belarus." Valery Tsepkalo also noted that the construction of the IBA’s own building proves its sustained growth and commitment to develop its business in Belarus.

According to Igor Khobnya, it is possible to increase the number of IT professionals in the new IBA Gomel Park premises from 350 to 550 within a year or two by employing graduates of Gomel universities. He is convinced that the opening of the new office is both a significant investment in the development of the Gomel development center and a convincing evidence of the stability of IBA Group. "People are the main asset of any company, especially in the IT sector as many company's achievements depend entirely on the intellectual potential of its employees. Therefore, it is crucially important to provide them with the best working conditions," noted Igor Khobnya.

Sergei Levteev said: "I am confident that the present and future employees of IBA Gomel will be able to fulfill their talents in the company. People should go to work with a feeling of happiness. It is an element of the formula of happiness. The times when infrastructure of development companies was based on rented premises inherited from the Soviet times are falling into oblivion. Today, the working conditions of developers are similar to those of their Western peers. It is just one more reason to stay in Belarus and not to go abroad in search of fortune."

After the ceremony, the company management honored the best employees of IBA Group.
