13 November 2024

Oplati, a resident of Hi-Tech Park, announced the launch of a new cross-border payment mechanism that will significantly simplify the process of paying for goods and services in Russia for Oplati app users.

Oplati is the developer and operator of the Oplati ecosystem of new financial instruments. It provides payment services through mobile and web solutions aimed at the use of electronic money in the Republic of Belarus. The service covers a wide range of payments, including public transportation fare, refueling at gas stations, booking parking spaces at the National Airport “Minsk”, as well as transferring money by QR code. The technology makes it possible to refuse to use traditional payment plastic cards and unite all the necessary banking services in one application.

Since November 2024, users of the Oplati service have been able to make payments in Russia via QR code at almost 2 million Sber terminals.

Sber has been developing the QR platform since 2019, offering convenient solutions for payment and customer interaction. The service simplifies purchases, makes them fast and safe, providing comfort in everyday life.

Now Oplati app users can easily pay for goods and services in Russia using only their smartphone. This mechanism eliminates the need for currency exchange when traveling, allows instant payment across Russia with just a few simple steps.
