The Hi-Tech Park invites school students to participate in the national competition Programming in Scratch!



Scratch is a visual programming language used to teach school children to code computer programs. Scratch is currently free and available to everyone.



The competition Programming in Scratch is divided into three stages and will be held since March 14 till April 23, 2016. Projects should be submitted by April 14, 2016. The finals, including open presentation of projects, will be conducted in Orsha, Vitebsk Region on April 23, 2016.

Students aged 8-10 are welcome to participate in the World of Animation category, and students aged 11-14 are invited to compete in the Quest Game and Educational Project in Scratch categories.

For reference:
The competition is organized by the Hi-Tech Park, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Department of Education, Sport and Tourism of the Orsha District Executive Committee. The competition is initiated to encourage school students' interest in studying information technologies, teach them to think creatively and systematically and inspire to get ICT professions.
