Implementation of Information Technologies in Industry Discussed in HTP

The HTP business incubator hosted a national scientific and practical seminar focusing on implementation of information technologies in industrial enterprises. The seminar was organized by the Hi-Tech Park and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus and attracted over 200 participants – representatives of industrial enterprises, IT companies, and state agencies and organizations.

When welcoming the participants of the seminar, Minister of Industry Vitali Vovk noted: "Competition has become highly intense. All issues require immediate solutions. Unfortunately, our old approaches do not work. We must act promptly and decisively. A good example of such approach is demonstrated by the Hi-Tech Park where ideas are realized during just a few months, and a special environment is built to solve different challenges."

HTP Director Valery Tsepkalo stressed: "HTP resident-companies are ready to develop world-class information systems, but there need to be enterprise managers willing to introduce all that into enterprise management systems. And the implementation success, its benefits to the enterprise depend only on you."

The seminar was focused on electronic document management systems and specialized IT systems for industrial enterprises. 13 reports were made; the participants received answers to their numerous questions.

A small exhibition was organized within the seminar to show products and services of IBA IT Park, Top Soft, Novacom Group, Softline, and Intermech. The participants could also talk to experts of the IT companies.
