HTP Business Incubator Startup Named Startup of the Year for the Second Time

A startup residing in the HTP business incubator was named the winner of the national contest Startup of the Year 2016 for the second time!

Eightydays.me became one of the 10 finalists and was announced the best among 30 projects participating in the contest.

The event ended a series of competitions Startup Weekend and Invest Weekend which were held across Belarus. On December 17, over 400 startuppers presented their ideas to Belarusian and foreign business experts, including private investors, representatives of investment funds, banks, and corporations. Head of the HTP business incubator Yury Sudarev was also invited as an expert.

Eightydays.me is a project developed by TouringApp, an HTP business incubator resident.

Oleg Tikhonov, leader of the project: "We have gained the Startup of the Year award. This is great. Many people tried to dissuade us from participation. But we made this decision to get a lot of questions and become stronger. It is a huge contribution to the future of our project."

Eightydays.me allows planning multi-destination adventures with comfortable timing and reasonable prices. According to Oleg, none of the existing services can plan a tour with any number of destinations.

Developed just a few months ago and having iOS and web versions, Eightydays.me attracted about 3,000 users for the first days of beta testing. Belavia has recently become the first partner airline of the service. Today, the service analyzes 160 European cities (20 of them may be chosen as start cities), and the team plans to increase the number to 1,200 cities around the globe by the end of 2017.

Yury Sudarev: "The second Startup of the Year award proves that Oleg's team has great potential both in technology and business aspects. Their goals are becoming more and more ambitious, and they successfully achieve them. I am sure that Eightydays.me is not their last project."
