Results of HTP Performance in the First Three Months of 2009

In the first three months of 2009 the volume of production of Hi-Tech Park resident-companies amounted to Br 71.2 bln, which is 147 % of the same period of 2008, or 115 % taking into account the deflator and the USD exchange rate alteration.

HTP resident companies managed to preserve its positions on North American and West European hi-tech markets. Thus, 40 % of export is accounted for by the countries of North America, 35% – by Western Europe, 20% – by CIS countries.

The leading importers of the Belarusian software are the USA, UK, Germany and Russia.

In the first three months of 2009 HTP residents had customers in 41 countries around the globe. For the first time contracts were concluded with customers from Belgium, Spain, Iran and Japan.

As of May 1, 2009 sixty-one resident and five business projects are registered in the Hi-Tech Park.

As for the various types of investments attracted to the Belarusian IT sector, 34 resident companies were set up by Belarusian investors, twenty-seven – with foreign investors participation (14 of them are companies with 100 % foreign capital).

Within the first three months of 2009 2 legal entities were registered as the Hi-Tech Park residents.
