HTP Resident-Companies' Activities List Expanded

On November 3, 2014, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Ordinance No.4 to introduce amendments and additions to Ordinance No.12 of 22 September 2005 "Concerning the Hi-Tech Park."

The document enables the Hi-Tech Park resident-companies to get involved in new science-intensive activities.

Companies will be able to become the Hi-Tech Park residents and get corresponding tax benefits if they are engaged in IT and related industries (micro-, opto- and nanoelectronics, mechatronics, telecommunications, radar ranging, radio navigation and wireless communication), information protection and establishment of data processing centers.

HTP resident-companies can work and provide services in the field of information system analysis, designing and software development (IT consulting, audit, national information networks maintenance, database development and corporate information systems implementation and support).

The document also specifies the procedures of providing incentives to the currents HTP resident-companies in case they get involved in activities that were not announced when applying for the HTP resident status.

The ordinance will enter into force on January 1, 2015.
