From experience sharing to real projects: HTP and Kenya develop cooperation

Hi-Tech Park Belarus hosted the delegation of Kenya led by the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kenya, Amason Jeffah Kingi. This visit marked a significant step in strengthening international cooperation and opening new horizons for developing partnerships in the field of information technology and innovative solutions. 

Anna Ryabova, the director of Hi-Tech park, noted that geographical diversification and the search for new markets remain the Park's priorities. She also emphasized the importance of hosting such a high-level delegation, given the growing interest in developing comprehensive cooperation with the African continent: "We are ready to offer the Kenyan delegation our experience in developing a legal framework, including the regulation and use of cryptocurrencies, and, of course, the products of HTP residents: from ready-made solutions to any developments on request." Furthermore, HTP already has positive examples of cooperation – resident companies are successfully operating in the Kenyan market, confirming the high potential for further collaboration.

The guests were given a detailed overview of the legal framework of the IT sector in Belarus, its important role in the country's economic development and high attractiveness to international partners. Particular attention was paid to a number of innovative projects by Hi-Tech Park residents, which were highly evaluated for their practical focus and potential for scaling internationally.

Amason Jeffah Kingi expressed sincere appreciation for the achievements of Hi-Tech Park Belarus and noted, "I am very impressed that HTP companies are already present and operating in Nairobi. This is a great example for us, and we can further expand our cooperation." He also emphasized that Kenya is actively developing its own high-tech projects, and Belarus's experience will provide an important impetus for local innovation.

Kenyan representatives emphasized the strategic role of innovation for their country's economic progress and expressed a keen interest in developing cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in the IT sector. Agriculture, fintech, and cybersecurity were identified as initial priority areas, where joint projects with tangible socio-economic impact could be implemented.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation, host events, and exchange experiences, which will create favorable conditions for achieving lasting and mutually beneficial results.

These negociations open up new opportunities for Belarusian IT companies in the rapidly growing African market.
