Hi-Tech Park facilitates IT cooperation with Oman

Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Aleksei Bogdanov pays a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman. Kirill Zalessky, Deputy Head of Hi-Tech Park, is part of the Belarusian delegation.

The members of the delegation visited the investment and consulting hub InvestOman, where, among other things, they discussed the prospects of scientific and technical cooperation with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman, Qais Al Yousif.

In Muscat Kirill Zalessky held business negotiations with representatives of ITHCA Group. The parties outlined areas of mutual interest for the development of joint IT initiatives and also discussed the experience of supporting promising ideas and projects.

The main competences of ITHCA Group are to actively work on building Oman's IT infrastructure, scaling networks and expanding the Sultanate's digital capabilities. ITHCA Group scales data centers/cloud storage, builds cybersecurity infrastructure, engages with national and international organizations and foreign partners to implement strategic ICT initiatives.

The intentions of cooperation with Oman National Engineering and Investment Company, which provides services to the utilities and engineering sector of the Sultanate, were formalized in the format of a bilateral memorandum signed during the visit. The organization expressed practical interest in cooperation with the residents of Hi-Tech Park on projects related to foodtech and VR-technologies.

The readiness to work together on cooperation in IT was confirmed during the meetings with the leadership of the State Council, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies, the Central Bank and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Speaking at the Belarusian-Omani business forum, Kirill Zalessky presented the competitive advantages of Hi-Tech Park and potential areas of interaction with the Park residents. During the B2B negotiations, the business community of the Sultanate showed active interest in establishing and building partnerships with the residents of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park based on the real needs of the Omani market.
