16 November 2023

Reliable Programs (hoster.by), the resident of Hi-Tech Park Belarus, organized the forum on Internet management Belarus IGF-2023. This is the country's largest platform for discussing Internet development issues. The forum gathered more than 500 participants - from representatives of ministries and agencies, international organizations and businesses to students and ordinary Internet users. The main goal was to discuss what the Internet of the future should be like.

The forum offered the participants an eventful program: a plenary, interesting thematic sections, constructive discussions, a lot of live communication and interaction. As in the previous years, the organizers formed the agenda based on the topics and requests received from the dedicated Internet users. It included issues of cybersecurity, personal data processing, digital literacy, false agenda formation in the media and much more.

The organizer of the fifth Internet Governance Forum, General Director of Reliable Programs Sergey Povalishev stressed, that the topics to be discussed at IGF-2023 are prompted by the present-day developments.

"In the previous years the issues for discussion were more futuristic, but at the anniversary meeting a more pertinent topic like information security took the center stage position. In fact, it pervades the agenda of all Internet governance fora," said Sergey Povalishev.

At the end of his speech, the General Director of Reliable Programs emphasized that Belarus IGF-2023 is a unique platform where absolutely everyone has the opportunity to ask any question of interest to a competent specialist.

The forum continued in the format of five thematic sessions.

The participants of the section "Digital Literacy as a Basic Tool for Information Security" tried to find the link between low levels of digital literacy and cybercrime and analyzed the problem of digital inequality and digital inclusion. Vladimir Lebedev, Head of the Educational Department of Hi-Tech Park, took part in the discussion, elaborating on the integral skills of a modern person in the digital environment in the view of the artificial intelligence development. He also spoke about the Hi-Tech Park educational project "Informatics without a socket".
