Students of the “Summer School for Young Analysts” visit Hi-Tech Park.

The educational seminar is organized by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research as part of the Republican Youth Contest of Analytical Projects. The event brings together students, undergraduates and young scientists from all over the country, who are involved in the study of topics and research aimed at the development of the Belarusian state.

While opening the meeting Deputy Director of Hi-Tech Park Kirill Zalessky noted the role and place of the Park in the development of the IT sector of Belarus, spoke about the history and formation of HTP, emphasizing also progressive legislative initiatives.

«The uniqueness of Hi-Tech Park is that it provided a qualitative technological upgrade. The legal model of Hi-Tech Park today is a model proposed and developed by business, which was fully supported by the state», – emphasized Kirill Zalessky.

The special attention of the listeners has been attached to the achievements and innovative developments of the companies with technological residence of the Park, their contribution to the economy of Belarus. «Until 2017 Hi-Tech Park was only an IT story. Today it is a cluster that unites more than 40 high-tech areas: software, hardware, medical and biotechnology, fundamental development and much more. These are development-oriented projects and solutions», – said Kirill Zalessky.

The participants of the meeting discussed the impact of modern technologies on the development of society and their socio-economic importance, the ethical aspects of digitalization and the importance of innovative solutions, including artificial intelligence, touched upon the topics of technological sovereignty and the IT factor in interstate relations.

After the presentation the future analysts lively discussed the prospects of extending the legal regimes and preferences of Hi-Tech Park to other areas of the country's economy, and the significance and uniqueness of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park on an international scale.

At the event, the possibilities of the Hi-Tech Park's Startup Center as an effective tool for the development of the innovation ecosystem in the Republic of Belarus have been introduced to the young experts.
