First LG Smart TV Hackathon Held in HTP Business Incubator

On December 4-6, HTP business incubator welcomed several dozens of young people interested in programming and information technology to participate in LG Smart TV Hackathon. The teams were to develop an application for LG Smart TV during 48 hours.

The event was organized by the Hi-Tech Park together with LG Electronics and is a part of LG Smart TV Apps Contest Belarus aimed at creating new entertaining applications for the next generation LG TV and strengthen cooperation with local developers.



Since Friday evening till Sunday evening, the teams worked on their apps, tested them, participated in workshops, thought over marketing concept and created presentations to introduce their apps to experts.



10 best applications were selected among 18 to compete for the first prize.


Alexander Chekan (TUT.BY), Vitaliy Svistunov and Alla Chudzhaeva (LG Electronics RUS) and Arthur Varushyla (Aligned Code) were among the experts who helped LG Smart TV Hackathon participants and judged their apps.



Gandalf TV was named the winner.
