HTP Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Vietnamese Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park

Negotiations between HTP Administration and Vietnamese Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park were concluded with signing Memorandum of Cooperation between these two Parks. The signing took part on May 13, 2010 during the meeting between President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet.

The previous day the Vietnamese delegation headed by Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, Vice Minster of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Director of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, visited Belarus Hi-Tech Park.

The prime objective of the visit was to discuss the experience of organizing activities of Hi-Tech Parks in both countries and examine the possibilities of mutual research and technology cooperation.

During the meeting Valery Tsepkalo, Director of HTP Administration, presented Belarus Hi-Tech Park, its special taxation system, presented the results of activities and plans for future development, including Hi-Tech Park site development. HTP resident-companies Mikst and Sakrament IT presented their software solutions to the guests.

Mr. Tsepkalo accepted invitation to visit Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in October 2010.

Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park
Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park was established in October, 1998 as an important project of Vietnam’s Government in Thanh That district, Ha Noi Capital. Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park is built as the model of center of development, research and hi-tech applications where germinate hi-tech business incubation, human resource training, product manufacturing and commercialization. The high and priority technologies in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park are information and communication technology and software technology; microelectronics technology, optoelectronics and automation technology, nano-technology and some other special technologies. Total area of the Park is more than 1,3 thousand ha, 850 ha of which are occupied by R&D zone, Hi-Tech Industrial Zone and Software Park.

Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park is now under construction and development. This city is expected to have around 100,000 of high skilled scientists, students, engineers, bachelors and workers working and studying at the most modern institutes, universities, laboratories of Vietnam and in the region, as well as huge hi-tech industrial park and software park. Also in this city, there would be completed facility for living, working and contributing such as hotels, restaurants, golf course, parks, hospitals, schools, accommodations with modern conveniences.
