Ivan Metelsky from Belarus Won the Google Code Jam 2013

A multiple winner of programming competitions Belarusian Ivan Metelsky topped the winners list at the prestigious international competition Google Code Jam 2013, which ended on August 16 in London, UK. This year over 20,000 people from 162 countries competed.

       The absolute victory in the competition yielded a Belarusian 15,000 dollars and automatic qualification for the Code Jam 2014 finals.

Google Code Jam is an international programming contest hosted and administrated by Google. The competition began in 2003 as a means to identify top engineering talent for potential employment at Google. The competition consists of a set of algorithmic problems that must be solved in a fixed amount of time. Unlike most programming competitions, at Google Code Jam competitors may use any programming language and development environment to solve the problem.
